ELEMENTARY TEACHER

TEMPORARY FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

Fern Ridge School District is currently seeking applicants for a temporary 1.0 FTE elementary teaching position at Veneta Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year. This is expected to be a first grade teaching position.

Qualifications: The assignment is a one year temporary 1.0 FTE elementary teaching position at Veneta Elementary School. The successful candidate will hold or be able to obtain the appropriate license and endorsement in the State of Oregon and have a thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.

Responsibilities: Create a vibrant learning community for elementary students. Focus on educating the whole child intellectually, emotionally and physically. Establish good relationships with students, parents and facility. Implement state standards and provide instruction that promotes all skill development, knowledge and reasoning. Use a variety of assessments to inform instruction and create an environment that maximizes student learning with a focus on character development. FRSD teachers model and teach respect with an awareness of diversity. This position also performs other duties as required.

Position Details: This position is open until filled. The start date to be determined upon the 2020-2021 academic calendar approval.

Compensation: Salary Range: $37,715 to $72,418 (depending on experience and education)
