Associate Teacher/Floater – Elite Start Preschool – Lee's Summit, MO

Do you Love to work with Children? Elite Start is currently looking for energetic and experienced Early Childhood educators to join our school’s team. We are looking for associate teachers to work with young children of infant, toddler, preschool, and school age.

Stepping into an associate teaching position at Elite Start, under the guidance of a lead teacher you will: (responsibilities are as follows but not limited the following).

• Demonstrate awareness of the entire group whether working with a small group or individuals.
• Respond to parent comments and concerns with respect.
• Assist in arrangement of classroom space into clearly defined activity centers.
• Follow all Missouri Child Care Regulations at all times.
• Interact frequently, affectionately, and respectfully with children.
• Continue professional growth by attending early childhood training courses.
• Keeps the classroom and equipment safe, and clean.
• Participate actively in the teaching team through communication and collaboration.
• Responsible for carrying out the lead teachers lesson plans in the event the lead teacher is absent.

To be considered for a position with our school, you must meet all state licensing requirements listed below:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is a plus.
• All employees must provide a health assessment and negative TB test documentation within 30 days from date of hire. Twelve hours of child development training per year is also required. Reference checks and background screenings are mandatory.
