The Cafe Coach (Store Manager) role exists as the main administrative presence in the Stone Creek Coffee Cafes.
Our Cafe Coaches begin their journey with Stone Creek Coffee as a Cafe Coach in Training. Our CCT training program is designed to ensure coaches are equipped to develop and manage larger teams and business units as their career develops.
In our cafes, the coaches work with the Master Baristas to ensure every person coming into a Stone Creek Coffee Cafe receives an experience that exemplifies “Remarkable Care.”
TEAM DEVELOPMENT – As the direct mentor to the cafe team, the Cafe Coach should give their team the training, education, empowerment, and responsibility necessary to continue their coffee career.
CAFE OPERATIONS – Cafe require significant observation to keep them running at a world-class level. Team scheduling, schedule optimization, product placement and ordering, and cafe environment upkeep should all be constant on the mind of the Cafe Coach, as they all tie deeply into the delivery of a “True Quality” experience.
CAFE REPORTING – In order to ensure operations are profitable, the company relies on detailed, accurate reporting at the café level. The Cafe Coach is responsible for ensuring the Financial Reports, Deposits, and Cafe Payroll are all executed without error on a weekly basis.
CUSTOMER SERVICE – Cafe Coaches should provide impeccable service, always urgent to the customer. SCC recognizes 6 steps of impeccable service and the Cafe Coach should be able to teach these to the cafe team. The Cafe Coach is responsible to cultivate the SCC culture in their cafe.
COFFEE GEEK – Cafe Coaches possess contagious passion around coffee and will help build a culture of excellence and constant learning.
Experience & Skills
Passion for coffee
Highly organized, self starter, detail oriented, accountable
Strong desire and ability to teach & lead others
Coachable, desire to never stop learning
Customer Service Enthusiast
Ability to communicate constructively, effectively and professionally
Leadership & Team Development Experience: 1 year
Hospitality and/or Speciality Coffee Experience: 1 year
Retail Experience: 1 year
Stone Creek Coffee has a paid training program for our Cafe Coaches which includes our Barista and Leadership Training Series. We also offer ongoing training opportunities to ensure we never stop learning!
The Cafe Coach is a full-time salaried position eligible for the Stone Creek Coffee benefit package which includes:
401(k) Retirement Plan

Paid Time Off
Complimentary weekly pound of coffee
On the house fuel (i.e coffee beverages) while in cafe
Employee Discounts (40%)
CCT program participants start as hourly employees beginning at $11.00 an hour plus tips. During CCT training participants are eligible for Stone Creek Coffee benefits including complimentary coffee, employee discounts, insurance etc.
For CCTs who complete training and are placed in a cafe of their own, we offer an annual base pay salary beginning between $25,000 – $30,000, starting pay based on qualifications and experience, with an additional $8,000-$10,000 earned annually in tips.
