JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Community Connection Coach (a unique DSP position), you will be part of our Personal Support Network where we provide support services to individuals who live in the community or with their families. This means that you will have the unique opportunity to celebrate with people when they accomplish even the smallest things in life that we all sometimes take for granted. You are a steward that will open people’s eyes to the possibilities and help our members accomplish things when others think they can’t. You will be able to serve as both caregiver and life coach creating opportunities and promoting individuality, inclusion and independence to those you support in areas such as activities of daily living, socialization and seeking out opportunities to and participate in their communities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• One (1) Year of experience in supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record, required
• Clear criminal record, background checks and drug test in accordance with state requirements, required
• Ability to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in English, required
• Strong Communication skills, required
