Daycare Teacher – Bean Sprouts Daycare – Ballston Spa, NY

Bean Sprouts Daycare is a Montessori inspired Program with a strong forestry/natural influence. Our main focus is respect, kindness and independence for the children. We also have a large focus on health and nutrition. The program is very different than most daycare centers because we really try to have the adults guide the children to do things for themselves, promoting independence and building self confidence as well as self worth. We spend as much of our time outdoors as possible and try to incorporate natural learning tools verse manufactured toys.

At the moment we are looking to fill a part time teaching position with the potential to move into a full time position in the future.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Create a peaceful learning environment that is safe, educational and sanitary.
• Meet the needs of the children such as: education, indoor and outdoor play, naptime, meals, social and emotional wellness.
• Assist in preparing healthy meals and snacks.
• Light cleaning and laundering after meals.
• Assist children in diapering and toileting.
• Assist Lead Teachers in daily activities.

Our program is looking for part-time individuals who have the following qualifications.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Have a reliable car
• Health conscious
• Willing to get a little dirty on our outdoor adventures and natural discoveries.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Salary: $10.00 to $13.00 /hour
