English Teacher – St. Joseph’s Academy – St. Louis, MO
St. Joseph’s Academy, a Catholic college preparatory high
school for young women in St. Louis, is seeking a full-time English
teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This position would require
an enthusiastic educator who is committed to rigor in the classroom
and student mastery of reading and writing skills. Full-time
teachers are also responsible for leading a student advisory group
and an extra-curricular. The successful candidate should be
comfortable teaching all subjects in the English department,
ranging from freshman world literature, American and British
literature, and a variety of senior electives and writing courses
such as creative and college prep composition. Experience with
reading instruction and strategies is a plus. A bachelor’s degree
in English is required and a Master’s degree in English or
curriculum and instruction is strongly preferred. Qualified
candidates should have a Missouri teacher certification. Interested
