We’re looking for an enthusiastic Human Services Coordinator II for our Midlands Region who will provide high quality technical assistance to Human Services staff via coaching, mentoring, and modeling for the purpose of improving child safety, permanency and wellbeing outcome. Plan, implement, develop and coordinate comprehensive social service programs.
The Human Services Coordinator II will provide high quality technical assistance to Human Services staff via coaching, mentoring and modeling for the purpose of improving child safety, permanency and wellbeing outcomes.
Research, develop and analyze best practice improvement innovations to strengthen casework practice, knowledge, skills, and competencies for Human Services staff.
Promote and facilitate individual and institutional learning for the purpose of improving casework practice competencies and improving problem-solving and critical thinking processes to help address practice barriers and meet performance outcomes.
Analyze and interpret data for the purpose of identifying best practice in Human Services, diagnose problems barriers to achieving outcomes, facilitate date discussions and develop practice modifications to improve performance.
Facilitate individual and institutional learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking processes for the purpose of meeting performance outcomes.
Promote institutional culture of innovation and learning for the purpose of improving casework practice competencies and addressing practice barriers.
All South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS) Employees are expected to Adopt, Implement, and Promote the Published Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles, While Employed by the Agency.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, or Behavioral Science and two (2) years of professional experience in human services or social service programs.
A Bachelor’s Degree in any other field and three (3) years of professional experience in human services or social service programs.
A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, or Behavioral Science and one (1) year of professional experience in human services or social service programs.
A Master’s Degree in any other field and two (2) years of professional experience in human services or social service programs.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of social service programs and social work delivery. Thorough knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations pertaining to social services. Extensive knowledge of agency policies and procedures. Ability to supervise individuals in the performance of routine and complex tasks relative to the delivery of social services. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Occasional overnight travel. Valid state driver’s license required.
