District and federal guidelines are followed for travel expenses. Professional Development Virtual staff is required to attend in-person professional development prior to the school year starting. In-person trainings may also be required throughout the school year. State Assessments During the STAAR and TELPAS state assessment windows, including the summer STAAR session, virtual staff on the aforementioned weeks will proctor/administer student assessments at one of the districts testing centers.
Virtual staff may be assigned to proctor at a site near their residence or at a location that requires intrastate travel and possibly overnight lodging. (STAAR and TELPAS dates are contingent to change pending the direction of the TEA.)
