Preschool Teacher, Two Year Old Classroom – University Presbyterian Preschool – Chapel Hill, NC

Play-based, child centered preschool is looking for a teacher in our Two Year Old classroom. This is a part-time position as it is in a classroom that meets 4 days/week in the mornings during the traditional school year calendar. Expected qualifications include experience working in a classroom, an educational background in Early Childhood Education, a solid grasp of the developmental progression of children ages 2-3, and a willingness to collaborate with a teaching partner. Duties include prioritizing the safety and well being of the students, working collaboratively to plan the curriculum, and communicating with parents.

This position will begin in August 2020 and is salaried (not hourly) in a reflection of our professional environment. Our teachers are motivated by how best to creatively and enthusiastically work with our students and their families. Beyond regular school days, we require 10 hours of Professional Development throughout the year, which will be at least partially if not completely covered by the employer. We have multiple workdays both prior to the school opening and after the school closing, as well as several throughout the year.
