Our Summer Education Program is a very special and exciting opportunity to become a part of a dynamic and talented team working with very extraordinary students. As a Special Education Teacher you will teach school age students (age 5-12) requiring social education. Will develop lessons to address the goals of the Individual Educational Plan for each student and writing end of summer IEP Progress Reports. Each Special Education Teacher will design academic and non-academic activities for the group and select appropriate educational materials and activities. Implement effective behavioral intervention strategies. Additionally, will oversee the work of all Teachers’ Aides, assigning groups of students to each staff member, providing instruction and guidance.
Education/Experience: BA and NYS Special Education Teacher Certification or Masters and Special Education Teacher Certification required.
Additional Requirements:
Must be cleared and maintain acceptable records under the NYS
Justice Center and OCFS mandated criminal background check
process.
Must be clear and maintain an acceptable record under the Medicaid Fraud & Abuse clearance process.
