Union is looking for motivating, engaging, and diverse educators
and encourages all who are interested in diversity, equity and
social justice to consider working with us. We are searching for
Special Educators who are passionate about working with young
people and helping them to prepare for the future. WSESU is seeking
two Special Education Teachers for students in grades 7-12 to
provide specialized instruction, consultation and academic
interventions within the general education environment.
Responsibilities include: case management, direct instruction,
differentiating curriculum, using technology for communication and
learning, guiding/collaborating with paraeducators and implementing
behavior intervention plans.
Applicants must be proficient in data-based academic instruction, positive behavior support/interventions, proficiency based learning and the Google platform. Experience with trauma-informed and restorative justice practices desired. Vermont Licensure as Special Education Teacher required (or be eligible for reciprocity).
