Teacher, English Language Learner – Wilsonville High School
This position will start 8/25/2020 for the 2020-2021 school year.
Create a strong program to ensure significant growth in language proficiency by serving students directly and partnering with classroom teachers to co-plan and co-teach. Educate the whole child intellectually, socially and emotionally. Plan and implement learning to meet the instructional needs of all children, using an overall constructivist approach with explicit strategies for increasing language proficiency and accessing content in all subject areas. Use data to continually assess each learner’s progress and make adjustments to instruction. Communicate and build working relationships with students, families and colleagues to support and advocate for emerging bilinguals. Demonstrate understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices. Participate in all pertinent school activities, meetings with staff and parents and professional learning opportunities.
